Fall 2026 Clubs at Lakeridge
Fiber Friends is a before-school club where we gather together to build skills and enjoy various fiber arts processes. This fall, our focus will be knitting cozy wearable items such as hats and scarves using looms (all levels) and needles (advanced).

The Vibe: Peaceful, focused, and encouraging.
The Focus: Diving deep into one advanced medium (for example: watercolor, ceramics, printmaking) over a multi-week period.
The Goal: Building fine art techniques, project stamina, and independent skill development.
Great for Kids Who: Thrive in a low-sensory space, want to build specific skills, and enjoy working independently.

The Focus: Diving deep into fiber art techniques including knitting, weaving, sewing, and more.
The Goal: Developing lifelong skills, project stamina, and personal confidence.
Great for Kids Who: Love working with textiles, want to form meaningful friendships in a relaxed setting, and are motivated to practice towards progress!

Yes, it is highly recommend that students pack a nutritious snack for after school. Please do not send students with candy or snacks containing peanuts / tree nuts.

I would hate to see you go! But if you must cancel registration, just email Mrs. Artz at anna [at] afterschoolartists [ dot] com with the subject line Cancellation Request and I will walk you through the cancellation process. Please remember to keep the Cancellation & Refund Policy (below) in mind.
Policies

Registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis and only accepted via the online registration portal at afterschoolartists.com. Registrations cannot be made in person or over the phone.
Registrations are accepted up until the first day of a class as long as there is space available in the section. Registration is not complete until all student and parent/guardian information has been submitted, all waivers and acknowledgements have been signed, and payment has been processed.
When a class has reached maximum enrollment, a waitlist is available. Waitlist spots will be offered if/when spots open up, and/or if the teacher decides the particular group can handle being slightly more full.

Registration may be canceled by emailing anna [at] afterschoolartists [dot] com with the subject line: Cancellation Request.
If registration is canceled 30 or more days before the start of the program:
Fees will be refunded 100% minus a $25 cancellation fee
If registration is canceled 15-29 days before the start of the program:
Fees will be refunded 75% OR receive full credit toward future programs
If registration is canceled between 8 and 14 days before the start of the program:
Fees will be refunded 50% OR receive full credit toward future programs
If registration is canceled 7 or fewer days before the start of the program:
No refund available, but can receive full credit toward future programs
Mrs. Artz may cancel individual dates for reasons such as weather-related school cancellations, teacher sickness, or a family emergency. The primary parent/guardian will be notified as soon as possible via provided email address and/or phone number. In the event that this occurs once, a make-up session will be offered to all families.

Art enrichment classes require an 8-student minimum to run. If by the week prior enrollment is too low, I will reach out to offer you the following options:
Cancel your registration for 100% tuition refund; or
Offer a credit for future programs

For after-school clubs, pick-up will be at the front entrance of the school.
Please check your child out with the instructor before leaving, and ensure you’ve listed all individuals as authorized pick-ups.
We appreciate students being picked up in a timely manner, so please double check the end time for your child’s club. Thank you!

Students are expected to treat their peers and teacher with respect and to ensure that others are able to have the best experience possible at After-School Artists. If a student is having difficulty meeting these expectations, one or more of the following actions may be taken:
Teacher may redirect the student to more appropriate behavior and remind them of behavior expectations.
Student may be invited to participate in alternative activities that may be more conducive to appropriate behavior.
The student’s parents/guardians may be called to assist.
The student may be dismissed from the class for the remainder of the day and invited to return at a later date with more appropriate behavior.
The student may be dismissed from the class for the following week, or for the remainder of the session.
Instances of bullying, violence, harassment, or discriminatory behavior will result in immediate dismissal from the class. If a student is dismissed for disciplinary reasons, tuition will not be refunded.
