JUNIOR COUNSELOR APPLICATION
JUNIOR COUNSELORS attend camp free for the week, supporting younger campers as art camp volunteers. Some of the ways they will assist may include: helping younger children with fine motor aspects of projects (such as tying knots in string), helping with informal outdoor games and activities, and encouraging timely clean-up of materials. All of these roles will be under the guidance of Mrs. Artz, and Junior Counselors will also get to work on many of the art projects themselves!
NOTE: There are a limited number of Junior Counselor spots available. Applying to be a Junior Counselor does not guarantee selection—notifications will be sent on a rolling basis, within 2 weeks of submitting a complete application.
APPLICANTS SHOULD…
Be 11 or older by July
Be available for the entire selected camp week (Monday-Friday, 9:00-12:00)
Be responsible, flexible, and have a positive attitude
Have experience and enjoy working with younger children (for example: older sibling/cousin, classroom buddies, “mother’s helper”)
Enjoy creating art!
TO SUBMIT THE APPLICATION:
Add the desired week to your cart & check out. This process will require you to complete both the volunteer application (by the student) and the registration form (by a parent/guardian). While there is no cost to apply, you will need to complete the checkout process to submit the application form.
If accepted as a Junior Counselor volunteer, a Parent/Guardian must also sign liability forms, which will be emailed prior to the start of camp.
